B. Braun Visitor Center (2009)

For the corporate headquarters, ART+COM developed an exhibition using new media to descriptively communicate information about the company, its modes of production and its products in a way that addresses experts and laypersons alike. COORDINATION Berlin is responsible for the scenography.

The newly build entrance area forms the starting point for all plant tours. In 500 square metres arranged on six levels, visitors get an overview of B.Braun’s areas of operation and direct views into the production facilities. The visitor centre combines graphics, movies and text with product exhibits and interactive installations that encourage dialog and knowledge transfer true to the company’s principle of “Sharing Expertise”.

A touch-sensitive graphic strap initiates exploring the company’s product diversity, over a medial wooden wall run daily news and facts about B.Braun and with the help of a medial telescope visitors are able to discover production sites worldwide from Hessian Melsungen.

The medial center piece is a vast multi-touch table, enabling visitors to obtain information on various infusion systems and explore facts on medical topics in a playful way. Water drops appear on the table’s surface (e.g. a percentage or a chemical symbol); when visitors touch the drops, their meaning is revealed in texts and pictures.
