During the opening weekend, 39,000 visitors were counted in Berlin’s Museum of Natural History to see its new exhibitions. ART+COM developed and realized its new media.
The exhibition’s focus is always on the exhibits. Media installations by ART+COM serve as mediators of the museum’s wealth of knowledge. Thus, visitors get a glimpse of dinosaurs in their natural environment in the Jurassic period with the Jurascopes. In the historical staircase, a space-taking installation shows the origins and development of our universe. In the hall “Evolution in Action”, visitors can interactively gather information on the derivation of animals on the genealogy-tree-table. All in all, 42 media stations communicate scientific facts playfully.
ART+COM as the main contractor is responsible for the entire exhibition and for the new media design. Exhibition design is provided by Bertron & Schwarz GmbH, while Schiel Projektgesellschaft mbH contribute project management and planning. Work on content was done in close cooperation and under the supervision of the Museum's scientists. The Jurascopes are a joint development of ART+COM and Wall AG.
